Amethyst AI LLC ("Mog Academy", "we", "our", or "us") provides a professional aesthetic analysis and transformation platform. We are committed to protecting your privacy, especially when handling sensitive facial data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, store, and protect your information in compliance with applicable laws including GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and BIPA (Illinois).

What Data is Shared
When you request an analysis, the app transmits your uploaded facial image and relevant metadata (such as image dimensions) to our AI provider.
Who the Data is Sent To
We use Google Gemini API (provided by Google LLC) for automated feature detection and image transformation.
User Permission
The app will not transmit your data to Google Gemini until you provide explicit consent. You will be prompted to grant permission via an in-app notice before your first upload.
Equal Protection
We confirm that Google LLC provides the same or equal protection of your personal data as outlined in this policy.
No AI Training
As a user of the Gemini API Paid Tier, your facial data and prompts are not used by Google to train, improve, or develop their AI or machine learning models.
We do not sell, rent, or share facial data with advertisers or marketing services. Outside of the AI processors identified in Section 4 and the analytics processor identified in Section 6, we only share data with secure cloud hosting providers (such as Amazon Web Services) necessary to operate the app.

We use PostHog (PostHog, Inc.) to understand how people move through the app, so we can find and fix the places where it is confusing or broken. Usage data as described in Section 2(d) is sent to PostHog and stored on their servers in the United States.
What is never sent
Your photos and facial measurements are never sent to our analytics processor as event data, and your name and email address are never sent at all. Page addresses that would identify a specific analysis result are stripped before they leave your device. Session recordings are treated separately — see below.
Session recordings
We record your screen as you use the app — the screens you open, what you tap, and where you scroll — so we can find and fix rendering faults and places where the app is confusing or broken.
These recordings include the images on screen. That means photos you upload, images generated from them, and your analysis results and facial measurements may appear in a recording, because they are part of the screen being recorded. Recordings are stored by our analytics processor and retained for a limited period.
What is not recorded: anything you type. Text you enter into a form — including support messages, forum drafts and your account details — is hidden in your browser before the recording is sent.
You may ask us to stop recording your sessions, or to delete recordings we hold of you, using the contact details in Section 14.
How it is stored on your device
PostHog stores a randomly generated identifier in your browser's local storage so repeat visits can be recognized as the same person. It is not used for advertising, and we do not share it with advertisers. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Opting out
You may request that we stop collecting usage data about you, or that we erase the usage data we already hold, by contacting us using the details in Section 14. We will action erasure requests within 30 days.
Facial images and derived data are securely stored to allow users to access analysis results and track progress.
Retention: Data is retained only while the account is active.
Deletion: Users can delete individual images at any time. Upon account deletion (via Settings → Delete Account), all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
We process facial data only with your explicit informed consent. You provide this consent by agreeing to the privacy prompt before uploading an image. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your data or account.
All users are entitled to the Right to Access (viewing data), Right to Erasure (deleting photos/account), and Right to Portability (requesting a copy of data).
Access to the device camera is requested only to capture images for analysis. This is only used when you actively choose to take a photo.
